Location and structure:
Model Y's water tank bracket is located on the outside of the longitudinal beam, and there is an extra triangular bracket next to the vertical beam to fix the front fender. What’s special about this structure is that it’s hollow inside, so it can easily deform if there’s a collision with the front or side of the vehicle.
Connection and support:
The upper part of the water tank bracket is connected to the fender lining, the lower part is connected to the ingot beam, and the side is connected to the longitudinal beam. The upper part and the side are connected through welding points. This connection method allows the water tank bracket to play an important supporting role in the vehicle structure.
